Branch elections—Certain conditions are yet to be met—NASU chairman

The much-waited branch elections of the Non-Academic Staff Union and Associated Institutions (NASU) University College Hospital branch, Ibadan, Nigeria, may be postponed again.
This disclosure was made by the branch chairman, Comrade Kehinde Abiona.
''The rescheduled branch elections that is supposed to hold on the 4th of December, 2024, tantativley, subject to certain conditions that are to be in place. As apat of the sitting executive, as I speak to you, those conditions are yet to be in place. First, the full reinstatement of of NASU members by the UCH management, which will serve as members log to show the strength depth to be used foir both the departmental representative election and the general elections.However, departmental elections that ought to have been held on the 20th November, 2024, did not take place. Events have nmow overtaken this devbelopment. ''
''Unfortunately, as at this moment, the reisntatment of the members have not been done. We are hopeful that it would be done at the ned of the month. Secondly, the peculair electoral guidelines for our branch to be used for the proposed elections are yet top be released by the national headquarters of the union. Finally, as soon as all the conditions for a credible election are met, the committee will provide an update.'' Comrade Abiona stated.
