Refrain from Sins-Prof. Olagoke to Nigerian Leaders and their Followers

The government at all levels has been called upon to refrain from sins to ensure the promotion of a sanitised and secured society.
This call was made by the Founder, Spiritual Head, and Grand Imam of Shafaudeen-in-Islam Worldwide,Wakajaiye, Ibadan, Oyo state Nigeria, Prof. Sabitu Olagoke contained in his Eid 'L Kabir message.
''As we celebrate Eid 'L Kabir, let the Government at all levels and its people refrain from sins but focus on the onerous task of restoring sanity, security, and sustainable development in Nigeria,'' Prof. Olagoke counseled. -

The Plateau State Peace Building Agency (PSPBA) on Tuesday hosted an interfaith gathering in Jos that brought together Muslim and Christian leaders, youth representatives, and community members to strengthen peace, understanding, and cooperation across Plateau State.
The event featured a shared agape meal, interfaith solidarity prayers, and a youth interactive forum, all designed to encourage dialogue and reinforce the bonds between faith communities in the state.
Speaking during the programme, Markus Audu and Sheikh Umar Faruq, Co-Chairmen of the Plateau State Youth Interfaith Forum, described the shared meal as a "divinely significant symbol of love, unity, and fellowship rooted in shared Abrahamic values."
They urged participants to deepen relationships across religious lines and challenged attendees to "move beyond mere tolerance to love, unity and 'pro-existence' through mutual respect."
According to the interfaith leaders, peaceful coexistence requires communities not merely to accept one another's presence but to actively support, value, and work alongside one another for the common good.
The interfaith solidarity prayers reflected a collective commitment to peace, healing, and reconciliation in Plateau State, while the youth interactive forum provided an opportunity for young people to discuss practical ways to address mistrust, counter divisive narratives, and promote harmony within their communities.
Participants described the gathering as a meaningful demonstration of the role faith communities can play in building bridges and strengthening social cohesion in a state known for its religious and cultural diversity.
The Plateau State Peace Building Agency has continued to champion dialogue and community engagement initiatives aimed at fostering peaceful coexistence and preventing conflict across Plateau State.
As participants shared meals, prayers, and conversations, the event served as a reminder that enduring peace is built not only through policies and institutions but also through relationships grounded in respect, understanding, and shared humanity.
